The online form elicits standard patient information (name, DOB, medical record number, date of surgery, location of surgery, inpatient/outpatient/observation, date of hospital admission, etc.), CPT® codes, ICD codes, and supporting details of the procedure (left/right/bilateral, number of procedures, mechanism of injury, anesthesia P code, etc.). You can also type in any additional information that you wish to.
You specify the default recipient or recipients of the emails. Most users include their medical biller. Some send copies to themselves for recordkeeping. You can edit the recipients on a case-by-case basis.
No. This means that after you send the email, the information can only be retrieved by viewing the email.
Our website uses TLS and SSL protocols, which are the standards for communication security on computer networks. If the server of the recipient email does not provide matching security features, the email is not sent. Because of these security features and because no patient information is stored, our process is HIPPA compliant.
